Superior Lodging Wins Prestigious Pinnacle Award “2016 Hotel Company of the Year”
Calgary-based Superior Lodging Corp is very pleased to announce the company has been selected as Hotelier Magazine’s 2016 Hotel Company of the Year. This prestigious award is a remarkable honour at the end of a challenging year that the company weathered with grace, determination and exceptional results.
The award is presented once a year and recognizes a company that excels within the hospitality and hotel industry and shows leadership and innovation in all areas of operations and staff management. Due in large part to a strategy of geographic diversification of assets, acquisition of the Travelodge brand, and leveraging existing relationships for further growth, the company was able to achieve solid returns in spite of slumping oil prices and a stagnant economy.
The award was presented at Toronto’s Royal York Hotel at the Pinnacle Awards ceremony held December 2, 2016. Marc Staniloff accepted the award on behalf of his team with many colleagues and friends in attendance. “I am very grateful for the people who surround me - their boundless energy, enthusiasm and love for our company and our industry,” said Staniloff. “We are absolutely thrilled to be the recipient of the 2016 Hotel Company of the Year. This award is an incredible honour and I’m so pleased to share it with our entire team.”
