Ian holds an MBA, a BA and a technical diploma in Hospitality Administration. His expertise is welcome as a director of a number of privately held corporations which own and operate a variety of real estate holdings, including commercial, industrial, retail, residential, and assisted-living, as well as full-service and focused service hotels, including brands such as Super 8, Wingate by Wyndham, Best Western, Starwood, Intercontinental, and Hilton.  

Ian’s breadth of experience spans all aspects of real estate and hotel development, investment, and operations management. He also has held senior positions with international hospitality advisory and accounting firms, Laventhol and Horwath and Price Waterhouse both in Canada and the USA. Ian is the recipient of the Super 8 Motels Inc. President’s Award for Outstanding Achievement.
